Alan F. Pryor

• Defended a public utility holding company and subsidiary electric utility against fraud and breach of contract claims relating to the construction of an energy facility.
• Represented an international engine manufacturer against wrongful termination and breach of contract claims brought by a regional engine distributor.
• Defended a reinsurance company against breach of contract, fraudulent transfer, and alter ego claims arising out of two reinsurance agreements.
• Defended a petroleum products manufacturer in products and breach of contract litigation arising out of a below-surface petroleum piping failure.

Alan Pryor is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Alan focuses his practice on complex commercial and class action litigation. His experience includes representing and advising clients across a range of industries, including food and beverage, energy, public utilities, banking, health care, technology, and manufacturing. 

Before joining Alston & Bird, Alan clerked for the Honorable Dudley H. Bowen, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, where he assisted in resolving criminal and civil motions in a variety of areas of law. While attending law school, he served as senior managing editor for the Georgia Law Review, research assistant for Rebecca H. White, Dean and J. Alton Hosch Professor of Law, and extern for the Honorable David R. Sweat of the Western Judicial Circuit of Georgia. Alan received his J.D. (cum laude), B.B.A. in both finance and economics (magna cum laude), and B.A. in Spanish (magna cum laude) from the University of Georgia.
